HAWKWALK - A Day with a Difference
The half day experience would be concentrated in an informal classroom atmosphere with a mixture of talks and hands-on a Harris hawk
or if you would prefer a half day . . .


Whole Day Experience

Arrival - Welcome with tea, coffee etc

Move to classroom and begin with an introduction to the birds and equipment used
Explain and chat about the different types of raptors used and their quarry.
Show demonstrate and practice the safe handling procedure and gain confidence around and with handling the birds
Give general information on equipment needed and used with show stock
Chat about the weighing and training of birds of prey, what they eat, catch etc.

Lunch at local country pub (The Bear at Home, North Moreton)
(light meal + one drink included in price)

Clients will take charge of a trained hunting hawk and we will take a gentile walk around the local area hunting with hawk and either dog or ferret. This is a hands on experience with no more than two clients at a time.

Back to the classroom allowing guests to tether birds to perches finishing with tea or coffee and a friendly chat about the day’s events, flying and activities.
